Directly after the ten commandments are given, the people see God’s presence on Mt. Sinai.
The children of Israel in the wilderness always related to the physical – the manna, the quale, the leeks, garlic, and onions, etc.
They never relate to the Lord Himself.
The people saw the thunderings, the lighting flashes, the mountain smoking, they heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people stood afar off.
Moses moved toward God because of his heart.
