Welcome!
Mankind is needy. If you were to ask a group of people, what is your greatest need? You would receive many different answers. In the natural world, the need of man is almost endless, i.e. his physical and emotional needs. Not much consideration is given to the inner need of a man’s spirit. Without the inner need met there will never be happiness and satisfaction, but only a desire to try to fill that empty space by any and every means possible.
The fool is tricked and does not know nor understand that he has an inner need that can only be met by God. The wise man’s heart is open to learn from the Lord what his true need is, so he receives instruction and finds life.
Ps 53:1 “The fool has said in his heart, there is no God.”
Prov 9:9 “Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.”
The true inner need of man can only be found in salvation through Jesus Christ. Jesus came to earth and died for the sin of mankind, destroying sin within, and He is the only one who can meet the true inner need of man.
1 John 3:5 “And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins”
To the one who has received Jesus Christ as their Savior (John 1:12), that one has experienced the need of their heart miraculously met
King Dave wrote in Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
“I shall not want” – the word “want” in Hebrew means to lack or need. The key to having the need met is to have the Lord Jesus as “my” shepherd. That does not mean that we will never again in this life have a need, but it does mean that the inner need is met and that space within will never be empty again.
Jesus Christ has come that man may have life, and that life will give the heart (spirit) of man the peace, joy, satisfaction, and assurance that nothing else can.
Jesus Christ is the greatest need that mankind has. All have the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Jesus said, “except a man is born again (from above) he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).
Jesus ever waits for the heart of man to come to Him so that their true need within is experienced!
