Judges class 4
Ehud the Judge, was a left handed man.
Judg 3:15 “But when the children of Israel cried out to the Lord, the Lord raised up a deliverer for them: Ehud the son of Gera, the Benjamite, a left-handed man.” NKJV
Ehud from the tribe of Benjamin. (the word Benjamin means, son of my right hand – word play)
What significance is a left-handed man?
-The right hand in the Bible represents a place of honor and strength.
-The right arm was mainly the dominant arm, so in the Bible it references the stronger arm.
Not that a left-handed person is any less honorable.
-Using the right hand symbolizes that was a position of strength.
Some believe that Ehud was disabled in his right hand, or it could have been as some believe that he was a man without a right hand.
Either way God used him to deliver Israel.
